While I'm Waiting...

Are you in a season of waiting? Is there something specific you are waiting on God to do in your life? Has He promised to do something, and you haven't witnessed the manifestation yet? I'm uncertain about what you're waiting for or trusting God to do. Please don’t judge me, but I’m waiting on God to send me my man! I mean, if He can part the Red Sea, surely, He can part the sea of single God-fearing guys at the park, gym or local coffee shop, right? To clarify, when I say, "my man," I'm referring to my husband, my best friend, my purpose partner, lol. I'm here believing for a man who loves God above everything, is committed to not disappointing Him, can effectively lead my boys and me, and is handsome as well as mentally, spiritually, and physically health conscious. I want a man that smells good and takes great care of himself. Is that too much to ask? Yall don't leave me out here on an island by myself. I know I am not the only woman that feels that way. So, if you see a guy walking around with a halo wearing a "A Guy After Gods Own Heart” t-shirt, just know I’m over here thinking, “God, is that you?"

All jokes aside. The real question is how are you waiting? Has the impatience set in? Are you being anxious? During this season of my life, I have chosen to focus on my purpose. The desire still remains but God has work for me to do. So, while you are waiting it is best to find out Gods will for your life. It is very important to know your assignment, why He created you. Reading your word daily, walking and talking with God will help you trust His leading and timing. Love on yourself like never before. This is where selfcare comes in. Plan a spa day, go to the gym, journal, do what brings you joy. I love a good hike. Time out in nature is so healing. I am also pretty adventurous. So, I love trying new things. Eating at a new restaurant, traveling to places I have never visited, reading a new book and even trying out a new recipe. Live your best life! This time is also for preparation and planning. Get ready for what you are believing God for. Do not waste this season. During this season, allow God to nourish you so you can flourish and grow. Allow His word to prevail and reveal your true self to you. Even though the truth at times hurt, we still need to do the work. You don't want the blessing to come knocking and you are not fully equipped to answer the door. During this time things can get quite difficult. It is vital to have a great support system. Sisters that will lift you up when you get low and remind you of the promise when things began to look bleak. Strive to find contentment in your current situation, just you and Jesus. Believe me, it's a liberating and wonderful state to experience.

Reminder:

He has not forgotten You. You are always on His mind.

He just works outside of time and not on your time.

Be patient. Patience is a virtue for a reason.

And a spiritual fruit for every season.

Song: "While I'm Waiting " Travis Greene feat Chandler Moore

Scripture:

But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles.

They will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Prayer:

Lord, I thank you for the waiting season. I understand it is a time of preparation.

Lord, I trust and believe every word you have spoken. Help me to be patient during this time of waiting. Help me to be wise in my walk. Help me to not be hungry for anything but you. I need to thirst and hunger for only you Jesus. Your will Father and not my own. I surrender my life and will to you! You know what is ahead and you can see what I can't. So, God, I thank you in advance. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
